Hot Gaming Stocks: WYNN and IGT

The gaming and gaming equipment sectors have seen some impressive gains over the past year and those stocks with exposure to Macau have been the hottest. Macau casino revenue was up over 48% in December compared with the previous year, according to a report from Susquehanna Financial. Private equity and investment banking company CLSA's head of Asian gaming, Aaron Fisher, believes the first half of 2010 will see strong growth, with overall revenue for the year in the 17% range. A comparison of the relative performance of gaming and gaming equipment stocks, with exposure to Macau, over different timeframes, reveals some interesting action. The stocks I have chosen are Las Vegas Sands , Wynn Resorts and MGM Mirage on the gaming side and International Game Technology , WMS Industries and Bally on the equipment side.
