What's the risk? An unemployment number that is positive and offsets this morning's weekly claims? You can get in after the bears fade a strong opening. A sense that the president is doomed on health care? So what?
A belief that Costco and Aeropostale portend better-than-expected back-to-school numbers? J.C. Penney and Macy's say worse.
A rally in oil? Now here's a possibility after China's strength, but it is a rally I don't want to jump the gun on.
Still better to be locking in gains with the idea that they break this market down 6% and the dip-buyers feel they have made a big mistake and are now going to succumb to a big September swoon.
Sidelines good, selling aggressive stocks best.
Why defensives? Because they still haven't rallied enough, particularly health care, as the Obama worries remain, even though it continues to look like health care reform is...
