 I know it is easy to bash every executive on Wall Street. People hate them now. I don't blame them. But I genuinely believe that the survivors now, including many of the executives left to testify today, especially the heads of Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, are truly battle-tested. I think they make it. Of course there were some truly repulsive execs who drove their companies into the ground: Stan O'Neal and then John Thain at Merrill, Richard Fuld at Lehman, Jimmy Cayne at Bear. These were some of the most arrogant people I have ever met. They were all Neros! (These Merrill bonuses to the top dogs are so horrible that I hope Andrew Cuomo hounds them to the ends of the earth.)
