 The bears have been unable to generate any downside traction, so now the buyers are showing a bit more interest. It is still very mixed trading with solidly negative breadth, but yesterday left the bears a bit gun-shy and the dip-buyers are providing some underlying support. The small-caps are definitely underperforming again; the best movers are the big-cap technology names, especially Amazon , Apple and Google . I'm doing some small trades in things like BioCryst Pharma and CareFusion but just don't see much to be excited about. Technically the bulls have the momentum but the charts have not developed in a healthy way. The dangers of the short side are obvious in this market where bounces quickly turn into new highs.
