
Infrastructure (Finally) on the Move

My tells for determining worldwide growth examining the two American companies most levered to it: Bucyrus and Joy Global.
Why these? Because their businesses, related to worldwide infrastructure, are on fire even as their stocks couldn't get out of their own way -- until today.
Their backlogs are gigantic. I had Bucyrus CEO Tim Sullivan on last week and he said business was on fire but the stock was doing nothing. Orders were coming in from China and he believed they soon would be coming from India as well -- that was before that country's election.
When I see these two stocks move like this, I am thinking one thing: Animal spirits are kicking in.
That's what's happening today and it's a beautiful thing.
