CVX is expected to earn $3.25 on revenue of $86.79 billion. In the year-ago quarter, CVX earned $1.97 on revenue of $55.17 billion. As with its peers, I expect CVX to better estimates on strong upstream results. Its results from the chemicals businesses will be weak and the downstream businesses could go either way.
