 Of all the places to rally, natural gas and oil were not on my docket of high prospects for the European follow-through. In fact, I regard this leadership along with the minerals as a bit of a disappointment. Not that I want us to be led by Merck or by Johnson & Johnson -- it is just that the $3 spike in oil feels incredibly phony, just one of those oddities that seems entirely asset-class driven, not demand driven, a function of a falling dollar and money exiting toward a commodity that is not in that much demand. Plus the natural gas rally in the face of the prospective loss by the fuel's backers in Washington leaves me with cold comfort, too. Still, a rally is a rally, and I am not going to start saying that this is a selloff or that the bears have already...
