Research In Motion sure makes the game tougher. We have a ton of new competitors in the smartphone game and you have to have your act together when you are going against products as cool as Apple's or Palm's or as well- and mass-marketed as Nokia's coming phone.
RIMM has been conservative before and this stock runs up ahead of the story. The right call was to sell, thank you Rick "Top Gun Trader" Bensignor.
However, people will sell everything and this smartphone tsunami should not be blown out here. Instead momentarily replace RIMM with Qualcom, which supplies the brains of all smartphones.
I am not saying sell RIMM. I like the story. I just don't like it as much as Apple, Palm or Qualcom, the latter being my biggest position in Action Alerts PLUS because I like the smartphone theme so much. I do...
