Of all the crazy things, you know what's got a lid on this market? That we can't take out $80 oil. That's right, that's what's so bad here today, because it sure isn't earnings. Other than Lockheed Martin and State Street, I didn't see much to hate, and with the prospect that both of those are just giving conservative guidance, we could have skipped that pain almost entirely. I am calling it self-inflicted.
Obviously, the Boeing downgrade is for real and ugly because it looks like the analyst knows that the Dreamliner is about to be shoved out again, thereby wrecking any credibility that Boeing has left, if it has any at all. This would be truly disappointing but not so disappointing that under $50 I would dodge it. I have been adamant that you buy Boeing any time you can get it at about a 4%...
