Ton of Financials on the Move

By Jim Cramer

About this article:
Uh oh, here we go again! CIT Group's on the move. And who am I to say that's wrong? With the asset-backed market getting better, the retail market improving and the rail market getting stronger, who is to say that CIT can't pull through here? Its bonds are trading up nicely, strongly, even ahead of a difficult bond exchange, and if that exchange works, you can take bankruptcy off the table, which means that the common goes higher. Let me ask you, Is CIT any better (or worse) than E*Trade ? If Synovus -- here we go, almost back to the deal and above where I said to buy it -- can raise money, why can't CIT? Things are better now, so I don't understand why this one can't keep going higher with a financing actually making it better! How about Ambac on the move...
