Look at this trashing, as Yahoo! has lost its takeover appeal; Google wasn't able to show a huge number, or at least a huge enough number to exceed the loss of the extra income from cash; and eBay was just a disaster. I was hoping that eBay might turn out to be the Wal-Mart of this downturn, a way to be a buyer or seller of merchandise cheaply. Nope. Amazon hasn't been able to challenge $70 after a prolonged period where it had some real levitation. Microsoft said there's nothing really exciting happening on the Web, and America Online seems to have little momentum. And you know what? I am not buying it.
