These days can cut your heart out as easy at the guy who slices the Nova at my favorite deli. We were closing in on a decent second-day move and a monster comeback right when I was interviewing Sheila Bair for tonight's CNBC townhall special at 10 p.m.
And then Obama came on and pulled the rug right from under us.
Today was another day where anything cyclical was a total horror show. These transports, which my friend Bert Dohmen says are a nightmare, can't catch a bid to save their lives. These are precursors for certain.
I have to tell you that these annuity companies are an open sore. Every day they seem to go down -- Hatford Financial Services is the worst, but Lincoln National is terrible, too.
The Allstate dividend cut was just miserable.
Finally, the reversal itself is just one of those awful...
