
ETFs to Play Goldman's Reign

Out of the wreckage left from the recent economic downturn, Goldman Sachs has risen to claim the throne as King of Wall Street. Its more-than-100% surge since the beginning of the year has given a boost to big shareholders such as Warren Buffett as well as to investors holding ETFs heavily weighted in the firm.
One of those ETFs is iShares Dow Jones U.S. Broker-Dealers Index Fund, whose Goldman stake represents 11.3% of the fund and has helped it gain more than 40% in 2009.
Of course, IAI is not totally dependent on Goldman. Other top holdings, including Schwab, Morgan Stanley and CME Group, have also seen strong gains in 2009 as the U.S. economy works towards recovery. The top 10 holdings of IAI represent nearly 66% of the fund.
