Maybe the light at the end of the housing tunnel is no longer an oncoming train. Amid the endless media reports of the allegedly freefalling housing market, Bob Toll, CEO of Toll Brothers, came on Mad Money last night to sing a different tune: The bottom -- or more specifically, a rolling bottom in housing -- is currently sweeping this country.
The media may repeatedly write obituaries for housing with a presumption that foreclosures will overwhelm all takers no matter what affordability or tax benefit, no matter how low prices of homes or mortgages go, no matter how few new homes are built, no matter how many new households are established. An endless parade of bearishness.
