Big Moves in Paper as China Demand Beckons By Scott Rothbort About this article: We had a very nice move in the paper and timber complex Monday. Rayonier, a stock which I got aggressive with in early August jumped 3.57%. It has flopped around since I bought the stock but is now making a move it appears. Recall that it sports a healthy dividend yielding 4.65%, of which I already accrued a quarterly payment. Other names in the timber/lumber sector also had huge moves on Monday. Weyerhaeuser, which Jim Cramer owns for Action Alerts PLUS, jumped 6.19% on the day. The stock has a relatively tiny dividend of 0.5%, a factor in my selection of Rayonier. Plum Creek Timber tacked on 2.89% Monday and can boast the heftiest dividend yield of the group at 5.42%. The stock caught a nice upgrade from Credit Suisse last Friday.
