Boeing Causes Aerospace ETFs More Pain

Boeing took another hit this week. This time, however, it was not thanks to its infamous 787 Dreamliner. Rather, it was the company's line of 747s slowing things down. This recent holdup comes less than a week after the company lost an important $3.8 billion contract to Northrop Grumman . Investors holding the PowerShares Aerospace & Defense and iShares Dow Jones U.S. Aerospace & Defense ETFs will likely continue on their bumpy ride. While the Dreamliner has been making headlines, another big project on Boeing's plate recently has been a revamping project for the company's line of 747s. The new model, the 747-8, will be longer and be equipped with new wings, engine and cockpit.
